ABOUT NEWS MUSIC PICS GIGS CHAT

Narda formed with the simple goal of being able to write songs and share them with anyone who cared to listen.

Having cultivated a humble fan base and a reputation as one of the best unsigned bands around, Narda has released four EPs and released their first full-length album Formika (which drew raves from Pinoy rock music insiders) all under the bands flagship indie label Ponkan Music. Their song Kusina is also showcased in Alpha Records Pinoy indie compilation Shiny Silver Jeepney.

Over the course of Narda's existence, the band takes pride in doing things in an uncompromising yet appealing way. True to doing things their way, the pioneering core of drummer Ryan Villena and bright and sunny frontwoman Katwo Librando eschewed the conventional band set-up, recruiting keyboardist Jep Cruz and guitarist Tani Santos (look ma, no bassist!).

Nardas sound has metamorphosed into a more lo-fi, garage-oriented and straight-to-your-face ear candy wrapped with all-Filipino lyrics. Narda continues to fashion a sound distinctly unique yet armed with a trademark Pinoy pop sensibility that hooks everyone, from Juan dela Cruz to Johnny Cruise.
